Love your Community? Run For It
Run For It benefits a wide variety of community causes in an eight county region. Awards benefit those that raise the most awareness and support for their cause, best effort, and first to finish 2k and fastest 5k. The Foundation has dedicated $10,000 to the awards; Race Sponsor support grows the purse. 2011 Run For It awards exceeded $35,000.
The campaign kicks off April 1 and culminates with a 2k/5k walk and run the last Saturday in September. Speed is not required to win. Register a team or join an existing team and help raise sponsor support for your cause.
The race is held on the streets of Davis in conjunction with the Leaf Peepers Festival. The course starts and finishes at the Davis Fire Hall on Rt. 32. Race proceeds consisting of entry fees, sponsor support and Race Day Grant Awards benefit participating:
Non-profit organizations
Youth groups
Civic organizations
Public Libraries
Community improvement projects
School projects or educational trips
School & community based athletic groups
Existing or new TCF Endowed Funds
other charitable causes
