Uncle Sam’s Birthday Party is a long standing tradition in Canaan Valley. The Foundation hosts the annual elimination-style dinner July 4 weekend. Proceeds support unrestricted scholarship awards.
The event is held at the Bear Paw Lodge of Canaan Valley Resort. The evening provides a social hour followed by a buffet style dinner and elimination drawing.
Only 250 tickets are sold and the event is always a sell out. Each ticket provides one chance on a $5,000 jackpot. There are additional chances to win $100 – $500 or any one of a number of red, white & blue door prizes. Additional raffle tickets are sold at the dinner for other special prizes announced during the evening.
